The technique of implanting synthetic hairs is an unacceptable method of hair transplantation that was used in the early 1980s, and it literally disfigured hundreds of thousands of patients until it was eventually banned.
In the last five years, some newer and supposedly safer synthetic fibers for scalp implantation have appeared, and a few surgeons — both in Greece and abroad — have been using them on certain patients.
However, this technique is ethically and scientifically unacceptable and should not even be considered as an option. If you look at real cases of people who have undergone synthetic hair implantation and their results, you will be convinced to forget about it once and for all.
