We remain committed to safety by strictly following the guidelines of governmental authorities as well as implementing special protective measures within our clinic.
In accordance with official governmental directives and ISHRS recommendations, we have developed 7 comprehensive safety protocols to protect both patients and staff.
General Guidelines:
- Mandatory mask-wearing at all times.
- Strict adherence to social distancing in all areas.
- Frequent hand sanitization.
- Clinic staff undergo regular temperature checks, wear masks, and frequently use hand sanitizer throughout the day.
- Any staff member exhibiting fever or symptoms is required to stay home and quarantine following official health guidelines.
Safety Measures for Patients and Staff in Non-Operative Areas:
- Clinic entry is allowed only for patients with scheduled appointments; companions are not permitted.
- Masks, hand sanitizer, antiseptic wipes, and gloves are provided throughout the clinic for staff and visitors.
- Upon arrival, a designated staff member wearing a mask and gloves will welcome you, provide protective supplies, and complete a medical questionnaire.
- Patients must wear masks and gloves throughout their time in the clinic.
Safety Measures for Medical Consultations and Appointments:
- Patient appointments are strictly scheduled to avoid having more than two individuals in the waiting area simultaneously.
- The reception area is arranged to ensure proper social distancing.
- For safety reasons, no magazines are available in the waiting area.
- Physical contact, such as handshakes or passing forms, is minimized wherever possible.
Hair Transplant Procedure Specific Measures:
- COVID-19 diagnostic testing is required before surgery in coordination with a specialized diagnostic center.
- All surgical, administrative staff, patients, and visitors use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Staff follow enhanced hygiene protocols, including disposable gloves, protective masks, and continuous hand disinfection with medical-grade antiseptic.
- Workspaces are organized to maintain safe distancing at all times.
Pre-Operative Patient Safety Instructions:
- Strict policy of one patient per surgical room per day.
- Patients must adhere to official health guidelines before their scheduled appointment, avoiding social contact, regularly sanitizing hands, and wearing masks where necessary.
- Patients should contact the clinic one day prior to surgery to update their health status.
Safety Measures During Surgery:
- Use of full-body disposable suits, protective goggles, face shields, sterilization autoclaves, and special surgical masks by all staff and patients during procedures.
- Masks (surgical or N95), protective gowns, eye and face protection, and gloves are worn throughout the operation.
- Mask removal is permitted only during breaks for food, water, or rest, which are arranged to minimize contact with others.
- Hands are washed and disinfected immediately after breaks.
- Mobile phones must be left in changing rooms and only used during breaks, followed by hand hygiene.
- No unauthorized personnel are allowed during surgery or shift changes.
- Staff follow strict protocols for donning and doffing PPE.
- Surgical PPE is not worn outside the operating rooms.
Clinic Cleaning and Disinfection Protocol:
- Daily disinfection and ventilation of all areas.
- Thorough disinfection with chlorine-based solutions in all operative spaces (floors, surfaces, surgical lights, beds, etc.) before and after each procedure.
- Operating rooms and equipment are sterilized at the start and end of each day and after every patient use.
- This includes changing rooms, pre- and post-operative areas, graft processing stations, instruments, and sterilization rooms.
- Frequently touched surfaces (door handles, phones, buzzers, bedside tables, railings, switches, etc.) are disinfected every 3–4 hours.
- Less frequently touched surfaces (walls, mirrors, etc.) are disinfected at least once daily.
Your safety and well-being are our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Guidelines for Hair Transplant Candidates from the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS)
The ISHRS has issued recommendations for individuals interested in hair transplantation or other hair restoration procedures. These guidelines focus on protecting patients from COVID-19 infection and informing them of possible modifications to clinic procedures during this period. In cases where government directives specifically addressing hair transplantation have been issued, those take precedence over these recommendations.
- Know Your Health Status
Candidates should be aware of their health condition, recognize possible signs of infection, understand how to act if they suspect they are infected, and know how to protect those around them.
- Follow Personal Protection Measures
Strictly adhere to all government-issued instructions: stay home, avoid social gatherings, frequently sanitize hands, and wear masks or appropriate face coverings in all areas mandated by public health authorities.
-
Choose a “COVID-Protected Facility” Hair Transplant Clinic
Select a clinic that has implemented comprehensive safety measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Such clinics will:
- Request detailed medical histories from patients and their close contacts regarding COVID-19. Providing accurate information is critical.
- Enforce social distancing protocols between patients, whether for consultations or procedures, by rearranging spaces and seating accordingly.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) or other relevant health authorities.
- Maintain strict health monitoring practices for staff and patients, including daily temperature checks and medical history screenings, as part of virus transmission prevention strategies. Where possible, staff undergo regular testing and monitoring according to government guidelines.
- Implement thorough cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization procedures across all clinic areas (offices, operating rooms, waiting areas). They also employ proper waste collection and disposal methods for potentially contaminated materials.
- Educate patients on proper handwashing and sanitization protocols within the clinic, as well as correct mask and glove usage and disposal.
- Ensure that all staff receive additional training on COVID-19 infection control and management.
- Most importantly, guarantee that the surgeon you select will personally perform your procedure rather than delegating it to unlicensed personnel or staff.
These recommendations are designed to ensure your safety and peace of mind when considering or undergoing hair restoration during the ongoing pandemic.
