Where Should I Have a Hair Transplant?

The biggest question: where should I have my hair transplant?
Like most people, you’ll probably start your research online. And the first results you see on Google are often from aesthetic institutes that offer hair transplants — but not just that. They offer everything: facial hydration, skin tightening, facial threads, hypnosis and weight loss, cellulite treatments, cryolipolysis for face and body… You walk in to ask about your hair, and with all these treatments they promise, you go in looking fifty and come out looking thirty!

But think about it for a second. Your health is your most valuable asset. Imagine owning a Bugatti Veyron — an incredibly expensive car — and it needs something like a hair transplant, let’s say an oil change. Would you take it to a specialized service center, or would you take it to the corner shop mechanic, or even a gas station that sells chips, cigarettes, and offers car washes along with fuel?

What would you do? Exactly. So why not treat your health and your hair as something equally precious — and go to someone who is specialized and does only this, at the highest level?

Now, it’s not a problem if a clinic or a doctor offers additional services. The problem is that when there are too many services, hair transplantation doesn’t get the full attention it needs. And in hair transplantation, everything must be perfect in order to achieve a good result. Your donor area is not unlimited — you can’t afford to waste a single follicle. Unfortunately, in my practice I see cases every day where 1,000 grafts were transplanted, but only 100 actually grew.

So you need to be extremely careful who you choose. The damage from a poorly performed transplant often cannot be repaired.

👉 Think carefully about who you’ll trust with this precious resource — your donor area. An institute that does a bit of everything, or a true specialist who does only this at a top level?
