Hair Transplant by CONAN

“Hello! Today we’ll talk about a very common question I get from people interested in hair transplantation, which is: Doctor, what is the name of your hair transplant technique?

Well, I decided to call my technique KonAn… Not like Conan the Barbarian, but from Konstantinos Anastasakis. And the reason I did this is because I see that everyone else has named their hair transplant technique with some special, flashy, and intimidating title!

I read: Exelixis FUE, Safe FUE, Microstrip transplant, GUT transplant, Automatic FUE technique, Direct Hair Transplant, Trichoscopically controlled FUE, and the list goes on…

The truth is that in hair transplantation there are only two techniques: the FUE technique and the FUT technique.

The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and the American Board—on which I also serve on the board of directors—strictly forbid their members from using any term other than the two official ones: FUE and FUT.

Think about it: the best clinics in the world, if you visit their websites, you will see that they don’t have some special, unique technique that they themselves invented, with fancy methods, like the ones you unfortunately see on the Greek internet.

Do you really believe that a slimming institute that also dabbles in hair transplantation, or an anonymous clinic (or with two, three, four, five initials) here in Greece, has discovered a unique technique that is somehow better than the techniques of the best and most renowned clinics in the world—clinics with proven results, that are members of ISHRS and ABHRS?

I don’t think so! Don’t be fooled! No clinic has its own unique technique that will guarantee you better results.

What will guarantee you better results is a specialized, certified doctor with a highly trained and experienced team.

That—and only that—will give you real results!

Anywhere else you see some fancy “name” of a transplant technique, other than the official FUE and FUT, know that you’re dealing with someone who is neither a member of the International Society nor has ever even been close to the American Board—which is the only certifying body in the world for hair transplantation.

It’s not the name of the technique, nor the special initials of this or that so-called technique, that will guarantee you a good hair transplant result.

What guarantees that is a specialized, certified doctor and a well-trained team.

Those are the people you need to look for.
If you find them, trust them—and then your result will be good!”
